Signet by DONE DEAL
Every signature gets a seal of its own.
Read the contract in legal text and plain English side by side, then sign it with a 3D wax seal shaped by the document's SHA-256 hash. Change one word and the seal stops verifying.

The binding words and what they mean, side by side.
Each clause sits next to a plain-English reading and a risk rating written from your side of the deal. Only the legal text is sealed, so the explanations can improve without breaking a signature.
Legal text
This Split Sheet memorializes the agreement among the undersigned writers (each a “Writer” and collectively the “Writers”) with respect to the musical composition presently entitled “Midnight Static” (the “Composition”), written in collaboration on or about March 14, 2026. Each Writer represents that their contribution is original and does not infringe the rights of any third party.
Plain English
FavorableGeneralThe three of you wrote “Midnight Static” together on March 14, 2026. Each of you promises your part is original and not copied.
Standard opening. The originality promise is mutual and typical of split sheets.
From the sample music split sheet, reviewed as Lucía Fenn (co-writer, 25%). All parties are fictional.
ESIGN audit trail
A record of who sealed what, and when.
The U.S. ESIGN Act lets electronic signatures stand in for ink when the record of them can be kept and reproduced accurately. Signet binds the document, the signer's connection and the server's clock into one hash, then logs every event around it.
Contract
Title, parties, effective date and every clause's legal text
Signer IP
Read by the server from the signing request
Timestamp
Server clock at the moment of sealing, not the browser's
SHA-256
The three inputs are JSON-encoded as one array and hashed together, so no field can be swapped or shifted without changing the result.

Seal + audit row
The hash sets the seal's drips, rim and crest dots. Seal, contract status and audit entry are written in a single database transaction.
Tamper-evident by construction
A hash cannot be edited to match new text. Edit the clause below and watch the seal fail.

Every event is logged
Signing attempt
Every seal request is logged with its outcome, IP and user agent, including the ones that fail.
Verification check
Anyone can re-hash the document. The browser checks it locally and the server records that it was checked.
PDF export
The sealed PDF carries the hash, signer details and timestamp, and each export is logged.
Signet keeps the evidence. Whether a given signature holds up depends on the agreement and where it is enforced. This is not legal advice.
